Extend Grace

Extend grace to others. You never know when you will need grace extended to you.

Feeling Forgiveness

You don’t always have to share how you feel. Sometimes it is better to simply throw aside how you feel, choose to start over, and enjoy the feeling that follows.

In Spite Their Imperfections

Loving a person does not mean you have to love everything they do. Love others in spite of their “imperfections.” That is, after all, how you would want others to love you.

Grace for Today

I saw this posted by K-Love Radio on Facebook a few days ago. It reminded me of the way our three year-old daughter prays before we eat. It started one day when my mother asked her to “Say grace” before our dinner. I wondered if she knew what my mother meant, as my husband and I don’t usually use those words. We simply ask the children to pray. She did not ask what my mother meant. She just bowed her head, closed her eyes and prayed, “Heavenly Fader, thank you for your grace. Thank you for our food. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

“Thank you for your grace.”

I thought about those words over and over again. Jesus told us to pray to the father to “give us our daily bread” but often I think we miss the very fact that he is our daily bread. His spirit, his grace, is what we need for the day. Yes Lord, give us our daily bread. Give us grace for today.

For Today

There is grace for today, joy for today, strength for today, and love for today. There is a purpose for today, a lesson for today, and a hope for today.

The very fact that you awoke to today is proof.

Twice Removed

My oldest son to me:

“You could be the president of the League of Awesome! Twice removed.”

… A Blurb of NO grace.

The Way to Deeper Love

You prayed for a deeper love.

You expected time alone.
You received time apart.

You expected long conversations.
You received silence.

You expected tenderness.
You received harshness.

You expected a heart turning to yours.
You received a heart turning away.

You expected praise.
You received criticism.

You expected laughter.
You received tears.

You expected apologies.
You received blame.

You expected things to get easier.
You received harder days.

You prayed for a deeper love.
You received GRACE.

To endure.

To stand.

To wait.

To preservere.

To forgive.

To deeply love.

Success through Failure

It seems that the success of His plan, is not acheived through the success of my plans, but in their failure. For in their failure I come face to face with His beautiful grace.

Hang in There

Many times

we don’t really want the way out,

but someone who loves us enough

to encourage us

to stay in.

Hang in there.

You can do it.

You are loved by God.

There is nothing that He cannot do,

through YOU.

“I can do all things through Him who gives me strength.”
Phillipians 4:13
