One Simple Life

by What Matters Most- A Mother's Devotional

One Rose
One Simple Rose
Dying by the moment
Petals Scattered
Fallen and Fragrant
And every place they rest
Is Beautiful
Deeply Romantic

They will get swept away
But in the moment
They are glorious
Enticing
Captivating
Halting Time

Like a mist
Dancing across still water
Shining in the morning light
Blown in a slow, steady breeze
Here and gone in a moment
Yet it’s presence enriches the dawn

And vapor
One Simple vapor
Opens the airways
And allows one to breathe
To live
Because one vapor
Was in the right place
At the right time

One life
Fleeting by the moment
Moments Scattered
Fallen and Fragrant
And every place they rest
Is Beautiful
Deeply Romantic

They will get swept away
But in the moment
They are glorious
Enticing
Captivating
Halting Time

Like a mist
Dancing across still water
Shining in the morning light
Blown in a slow, steady breeze
Here and gone in a moment
One life enriches the dawn

And one life
One Simple life
Can open the airways
And allow another to breathe
To live
Because one life
Was in the right place
At the right time

The finite becomes infinite
The mortal, immortal
As one life leaves its impression
In its finite moment of time.
